What happened at the end of Better Call Saul Season 6 episode 11? ›

The episode ends with Saul walking in one door and Gene walking in another, events separated by years. Saul is paying a visit to Walt, a meeting we have already seen in “Breaking Bad.” Jimmy is entering the home of the mark with cancer. The confab with Walt, we know, eventually ends in calamity.

Gus phones Bolsa at his hacienda and gives him the news that Lalo will soon be returning to Mexico. He realizes, and explains to Mike, that Bolsa organized the attack on Jimmy in order to protect both Gus' business and his own.

Who kills Lalo? ›

Lalo is killed by Gus in the season six episode "Point and Shoot". Gordon Smith said it was considered for Mike to kill Lalo, but this idea was discarded in order to let the "biggest big bads" in the series – Gus and Lalo – come face to face.

Once down there, Lalo gives Gus a chance for some last words. Gus gives an angry speech denouncing Eladio and the Salamancas. He then kicks out a switch (turning the lights off), retrieves his stashed gun in the confusion, and blindly empties it at Lalo, shooting him in the neck.

While delivering a scathing monologue to the drug bosses down in the high-tech meth lab that Walt and Jesse will eventually use in “Breaking Bad,” Gus turns out the lights, grabs a gun and fires the clip at Lalo. When the lights turn back on, we see Lalo choking on his own blood from a fatal neck wound.

Gus saves Hector's life through CPR, but it's later revealed that Hector had a stroke; during his recovery Lalo brings him the bell which he had recovered from a hotel the two of them had burned down years earlier. After Lalo's death, Hector ends Better Call Saul a weak and frustrated character.

Bob Odenkirk as Gene Takovic in the series finale of “Better Call Saul.” He also pointed to his final two scenes with Seehorn: one where they're sharing a cigarette together in a holding cell, and another where they take one last look at each other as she exits the prison.
