This article contains spoilers for Ozark Season 4, Part 2.
After five great, nerve-wracking years of watching Ozark, I'm going to share with you what my mom — my faithful Ozark-watching companion — texted when the season finale check-outs came up:
However, the news is not all rosy. The final seven episodes of Ozark's fourth season are now available to stream on Netflix, bringing the acclaimed crime drama to a close.
Even though the original Ozark series is over, it's not out of place for some people to ask for another kind of extension. "I wish this show or movie [would] be turned into something else!" said one fan while watching their favorite episode recently - as if we didn't already know about Chris Mundy's possible ideas! Turns out he was thinking about spinoffs as well – with restrictions that make sense based on what happened in his main episodes…
The chances of Ozark returning for a fifth season are, at this point, slim. All members of the Bryde family were seen alive and free of cartel ties in the series finale. The only significant story line left unresolved is Jonah Bryde's murder of Mel Sattem, which may lead to future problems for the family.
Is that all? End?
I'm sorry to have to tell her and all the readers who followed our coverage of the show. But that's it. This concludes the discussion. It is my journalistic duty to inform you that everyone involved in Ozark has stated thisThe fourth season will be the lastseason. The cast even recorded a dramatic farewell video. But there are two things we will do. First, let's take a look at what Ozark showrunner Chris Mundy and star Jason Bateman had to say about where the Byrdes are headed after the finale. Then, under the circumstances, we'll do the only thing we can - imagine a way (or two) for Ozark's story to continue. As a special treat.
It's hard to believe that Ozark is already coming to an end. It seems like only yesterday that we were first introduced to the Byrdes family and their complicated world of money laundering and crime. But four seasons later, the series is coming to an end. While it's sad to see it go, I'm excited to see how it all ends.
Showrunner Chris Mundy said he thinks the Byrdes will go "full-on criminals" in the final season. I have to agree. After everything they've been through, there's no way they can go back to their old lives. They are too deep now. Besides, who would want to live a boring, normal life after all the excitement and adventure they've had?
Star Jason Bateman said he thinks season four will be a "bittersweet" ending for the Byrdes. I think that is correct. There will be happy moments, but there will also be tragedy and heartbreak. After all, this is a crime drama. We can't expect everything to end perfectly.
I hope for a happy ending for the Byrdes. They've been through so much and they deserve it. But even if things don't work out perfectly for them, I'm still interested to see how everything plays out in the final season of Ozark.
Key factors to consider
Cast Availability: The cast of “The Ozarks” is made up of some of the most talented actors in the business, and many of them have demanding schedules. It is possible that the release date of Season 5 could be pushed back if any of the key actors are unavailable.
Netflix release schedule:Netflix is known for regularly releasing new seasons of its original series, with most shows having new seasons every year or two. Given the popularity of "The Ozarks," the fifth season is likely to arrive sometime in 2023.
What fans can expect from season 5
Although there has been no official announcement about the plot of Season 5, fans can expect it to pick up where Season 4 left off. Given the cliffhangers at the end of the previous season, it's likely that season five will focus on resolving these storylines and continuing the overarching story.
Fans can also expect the return of all their favorite characters, including Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman), Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney) and the rest of the Byrde family.
In addition, the series will likely continue to explore the dark and dangerous world of the Ozarks, as the Byrde family navigates the criminal underworld and tries to keep their secrets hidden.
Although he successfully managed to preserve his life, the connections to Ozark were inevitable. He had been a part of the community for so long that it was impossible to just walk away from it all.
Although his relationship with his wife has already broken before our eyes, he took his whole family with him. She did not hide the fact that she had deceived him, but she still turned to the forgotten aspect of God in order not to lose her son.
Eventually this led to his downfall. He trusted too much someone who was unstable. The stress of the situation was too much for him and he ended up making a fatal mistake.
After years of service, Martin is finally settling into his new home. However, he quickly becomes frustrated with the lack of money. In order to recover the money that was taken from him over the years, Martin frantically plans how to cheat the system.
He is not worried about losing the trust of the locals, because he believes that everyone is dishonest. With his plans, Martin is confident that he will be able to get the money he deserves.

Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney) have had a wild ride since setting up their family in the Ozarks to launder money for a Mexican drug cartel, with plenty of twists and turns along the way.
The Netflix original has seen significant success for the streaming service, with the first half of Season 4 achieving the highest viewership of any streaming title in nearly two years.

Furthermore, the latest installment of episodes ends on a huge cliffhanger, which is sure to leave some fans hungry for more. More on that in our spoiler-filled Ozark Season 2 Finale Explained post.
Mundy told Vanity Fair, "I think they moved on." “They got what they thought they wanted.” But to be honest, I believe they carry a curse.” Bateman had much more to say in the same Vanity Fair article. "I bet they'll go to Chicago and test Wendy's idea: Have we accumulated enough political capital to put some things in place that will help people?" he added.
"It took a long time to get that money, but will the end justify the means? Although I believe they are smarter now than when we first met them, I believe their arrogance and hubris will continue to trip them up. I believe humility would lead them to make better decisions, but I don't believe they have reached that point yet."
Time for some speculation. You'd have to imagine that if we had a miracle of all miracles and Netflix renewed Ozark for a fifth season, future episodes would be business as usual. Suppose Jonah shoots Mel. The Byrdes would be cleared of any leads leading to their ordered attack on Ben, at least for now. But their worries don't end there either. The Byrdes are sure to face a huge hurdle in laundering money through the casino if Camila Navarro kills Ruth Langmore (we're still heartbroken over this). Rachel would get full ownership of the Missouri Belle because I'm not versed in the fine print of legal documents. If I'm wrong, please correct me. Rachel wasn't about to let the Byrdes bully her again.
O 4. sezoni Ozarka?
Julia Garner stars as Ruth Langmore in Ozark Season 4, Part 2, Episode 7.
Ozark, season after season, captivates the audience with a unique plot that leaves behind a bloody trail. This American series first appeared on July 1, 2017. On August 31, 2018, after a long wait of a year, the second season arrived, and the third season took two consecutive years to reach us until March 27, 2020. Each of these three seasons consisted of ten short episodes.
The fourth season, the longest among them, is divided into two halves, each consisting of 7 episodes. The first part premiered on January 21, 2022, and the second part is ready to spread terror.
Netflix and producers have announced the release date of the fourth season, part two.
In June 2020, it was announced that the series would return for a "major" fourth and final season, consisting of 14 episodes split into two parts.
Meanwhile, the Byrdes will have to adapt to the idiosyncrasies of another boss, as Camila Navarro appears to be a lot more bloodthirsty than she first appeared. There are few strays left in Ozark-land, except for the Byrdes getting back to their jokes and the Navarros Navarro-ing. Mainly? Three and Bunnies.
The last two members of the Langmore tribe (or neighboring Langmorea) are left to fend for themselves. Why can't we get a baby Zeke and Three spin-off where they take on Ruth's legacy and explore the world instead of more Byrde and Navarro nonsense? After the darkness of the Ozark region, a warm-hearted excursion would do well. However, we doubt that the creators of the series would agree with that.

Meanwhile, before the final season was revealed, Bateman said in an interview with Collider about the show's third season, "I think there was always an assumed range [of] three seasons, four seasons, five seasons, something like that."
Due to Marty and Wendy's intelligence and the rate of escalation of the danger and the game, Bateman decided not to "jump the shark", saying that "they're either going to be killed or put in jail".

Netflix's decision to end their hugely successful Ozark series was no small feat. It was a carefully weighed choice that involved more than executives looking at the bottom line; in fact, the showrunners had a lot of debate and discussion about their options for the fourth and final season.

Certain industry insiders felt it was time for the show to end. So Chris Mundy brought his vision to a fitting and inevitable end, playing cards that exceeded expectations and defined the work of this extraordinary series from start to finish.
Why is Netflix's Ozark so dark?
The creative team behind the play made an incredibly successful decision by opting for a whimsical aesthetic to match the atmosphere. This choice was not accidental, but consciously and with a clear goal. It paid off in spades; viewers of the series were captivated by the heavy atmosphere due to skillfully orchestrated visual elements. Combined with a carefully written plot and characters, it has undoubtedly had a remarkable effect on viewers since its debut.
