Your first race atDrag Raceunfortunately ended with an injury. How did you react when you received the invitation to work?Canada vs. the World?
I was delighted. I was hoping to go back at some point, but I expected to go back to the U.K. [edition].Canada vs. the World, it was such a climb for me. I didn't know who I would do it with, but it would be people from all over the world, as if I was going straight toAll stars.

Your drag king look inspired by Fabio was a sensation. It's been a talking point this season. What would drag kings add toDrag Racespace if they are invited to the competition?
You guessed it yourself; that was the topic of conversation. It adds variety and is a more authentic representation of what the resistance is. We miss half the drag scene by only showing the queens. There are drag kings, drag things, so many different styles of drag and if you put all those different styles of drag together in this beautiful mixing pot, you have a beautiful drag cocktail.
You helped the cast understand the misogynistic root of the term "weak." I've seen a lot of unwarranted backlash against you online. Was the reaction difficult for you?
I knew what I was doing when I said that and I said it knowing I would get a backlash. I'm not interested. It's too important not to talk about it. I can't be in a room as the only cis woman, as I often am in a queer space, and not say it - just let it be said.
I also never asked anyone not to say it. I never said, "Don't say that."
I just want people to be aware of the meaning. And if you know the meaning then and still say it, then that's up to you.
ManyDrag Racecontestants refer to themselves as "big girls" or "fat and juicy". You use the word fat a lot—can you talk about how and why you use the word fat to describe yourself?
Because it was used against me in such a negative way, I'm giving it back in a way. Me and my British dear sister Lawrence Chaney, we both agree that we like to use that word. It shocks people when we describe ourselves that way, but we take it back and own it. I'm fat. I have body fat; we all have fat. But I'm not just fat - I'm funny, I'm generous, I'm kind. Fat is just one thing that I am.
What did you learn about Canada while filming?
I wish I had learned more! We are separated and locked away. But I learned that they are all so damn nice—and attractive! They are all stunning.
I think the Canadian way has gone our way this season. We really formed a sisterly bond. It's really nice to see a season that isn't all catty and horrible. We can love each other!
Did you have a favorite Canadian snack?
I had cheese curds, poutine. They gave me all different snacks all the time, because I also had a lot of [THC] gummies. That was probably my favorite thing about Canada: I could eat. Every night my pocket money for food would knock on my door.
What would it mean to you to be crowned the Mother-Pucking Queen of the World?
That would mean the whole world! It would mean a lot to many other people as well: they would feel represented and seen. A lot of what I do in my hobby right now is for other people. I always try to be good with my platform - I have tough conversations, I play drag king, I put my 'lesbian' self at the forefront of my comedy. But ultimately I'd like to win for myself because I feel like I'm a damn good drag queen. Period.

You competed against Brooke during Season 11Drag Race. What was it like to be judged by her? Was she fair?
Before the competition, I thought it might be a problem, but then I changed my mind. In the competition system, there are always former [winners] who come back and judge the competition and that's because they know what it takes. She is definitely qualified.
She was absolutely honest; she didn't play favorites at all. She was there to give it to us and she kept it real. Sisters always hold each other accountable.
How was itCanada vs. the Worlddifferent from your previous oneDrag Raceexperiences?
Goes toCanada vs. the World, it was different because of my mindset. Of course, I already didDrag Raceseveral times. I came absolutely confident, calm and really wanted to show the world who I am. I have already won the hearts of America; now I hope that the world will see me, fall in love and that I will be able to claim the crown.
You always serve views in the workroom and in the confessionals. What was your approach to your unwanted wardrobe for this season?
My wardrobe for the confessional was very inspiredComing to America. I was coming to Canada to find my crown, which is kind of a storyComing to America. I wanted to be inspired by that because of course it's a black classic. Cheers to Eddie Murphy!
You were filmingDrag Racewhen is the first seasonCanadian Drag Racebroadcasted. Have you seen it yet?
I have a! I went back and watched. There was a lot of drama on that one! Rita, Jimbo, Lemon! Oh my God. And say hello to Priyanka!
You've talked about your struggles dating as a queen this season. Have gentlemen invaded your DMs since that episode aired?
I don't check my inbox too often. It's a dangerous place! I like people to talk to me face to face. If you're out there reading, I love the people of Canada. I don't discriminate. I'm going on tour across Canada, so show up at the meeting and say hi.
Have you been looking for Ru-Demption this season?
The only Ru-Demption I come for is that crown!
What did you learn about Canada while filming?
I've actually toured Canada before. Me, Silky and A'keria did itZa Wong Foo-style tour of Canada. I absolutely love Canada, I knew the people would be nice and it would be a great experience because I love the country. While I was there [during filming] I saw the heart of Canada, which is the people.
Did you have a favorite Canadian snack?
I had a great poutine when I was there, but I had a cheesecake at one restaurant—I won't name it because I don't get paid without commercials, but this pecan cheesecake? To die for. You know it had some maple syrup in it!
What would it mean to you to be crowned the Mother-Pucking Queen of the World?
It would be a full-circle moment, knowing where I started and what my journey has been through the years I've invested in competingDrag Race. It would be a testament to the persistence I had throughout my journey. I'm a fan of sorority and that's whatDrag Raceit stands for me, it is my family, my saving grace, everything for me. To have the title of queen of the washing world, it would only mean that it cemented in her history the work I did.

You competed against Brooke during Season 11Drag Race. What was it like to be judged by her? Was she fair?
She was very fair. She had no choice - she didn't want to be beaten by all of us. Honestly, she had a job to do and I had a job to do and we both did our jobs very well.
How was itCanada vs. the worlddifferent from your previous oneDrag Raceexperiences?
The biggest difference is that the girls see me as an icon and a legend and compete against me. They kept telling me: "We look up to you" and "You are a true inspiration to us." That's one thing I never took in and the girls never told me that when I was competing. It was refreshing and made it a little easier to compete as myself.
Now you are doneDrag Race,Drag Race All Stars,Drag Race: The Revue in Vegas,Celebrity Drag Race Secretand nowCanada vs. the World. What keeps you coming back to the franchise?
It is a real honor for them to call me and ask me to come back. I mean to be one of the girls that gets read all the time, but one thing most people should learn when they see me or my name or anything in my history, they should know that Silky always shows up, shows up on time, does a great job, entertains and leaves.
Would you come back if someone asked you?
Why not? Juju succeeded and made a career out of it. Why not — what makes me different? I know some girls say no and it depends on them. It's an honor to get that call, because look how many girls didn't get that call. Look how many girls are waiting by the phone. I consider it a true honor.
What did you learn about Canada while filming?
They confiscated us! What would you like me to know about Canada? I've been on Canadian tours and Canadians are nice, but I knew that before filming.
Do you have a favorite Canadian snack?
As an American, I have poutine and I like to put chicken tenders and ranch on it. That's my Canadian bite - the Canadian-American marriage you didn't know you needed.
You are a synchronized killer. Should the other girls watch out in this finale?
Absolutely. Especially since they had a chance to vote me off and they're not in Episode 5. They should definitely keep an eye out.
What would it mean to you to be crowned the Mother-Pucking Queen of the World?
It would be an honor for me to represent as the Queen of the World and to represent those who made it possible for me to start before I knew anything aboutRuPaulova Drag Race. Those competitions that helped polish me, the people that helped me get clothes, all the way to competitions atRuPaulova Drag Raceand losing. A win would be the true definition of tenacity and I hope I get that chance.
Final ofCanada's Drag Race: Canada vs The Worldwill be available to stream on Friday, December 23, at 9 p.m. EST on WOW Presents Plus in the US and on Crave in Canada.
